Caretaker boss Barry Ferguson was hopeful of snatching his first win since taking over eight matches ago.
But his Blackpool bottlers never looked capable of snatching a goal, never mind a point from this clash.
Keeper Matt Gilks was at fault as Blackpool gifted Eddie Howe’s men the winner just three minutes into the second half.
He flew out of his goal and chopped down Grabban just inside the box with the Cherries striker beating him from the spot to register his 14th league goal.
Ferguson said: “As the weeks go on, the pressure is getting bigger and bigger. It’s a worry. I wonder whether they can handle the pressure. They need to start showing me they can.”
