Jamie Vardy has now scored in 11 consecutive Premier League games
The Leicester striker netted in the first half against Manchester United, stealing in ahead of Ashley Young before slotting home a composed finish past David De Gea.
The goal makes Vardy the top goal-scorer in the Premier League, as well as taking Van Nistelrooy's crown for consecutive league goals.
The Dutchman achieved his feat for Manchester United across two seasons in 2003.
And he couldn't wait to heap praise on the former Fleetwood player for surpassing his 12-year record.
