And it was reported this morning that Smalling had broken a toe and could miss a month of action.

Manchester United have denied Chris Smalling is out for a month
But United, according to Reuters, have denied the story.
"We don't comment on rumours or speculation but I can say that the story in the (Daily) Mail isn't true," a club representative told Reuters on Friday.
Smalling has had a mixed season under Mourinho after being an important player under previous manager Louis van Gaal.
He became the club’s vice captain under the Dutchman but has found game-time more limited in the new regime.
He missed the start of the season with an injury and was kept out of the side by Eric Bailly and Daley Blind.
He did come back, making his first start in the Europa League against Feyenoord, and has made seven appearances in the Premier League.
But he’s missed the club’s last four games with Mourinho questioning his mentality.
