Gerwyn Price hits out after mass Premier League Darts brawl during nine-darter

A huge fight erupted in Manchester while Gerwyn Price was at the oche.

has taken to social media to slam fans who were involved in a mass brawl during the on Thursday evening. The Welshman hit a nine-darter but scenes of a fight amongst the crowd marred the action, leaving Price to call for change.

The Iceman was quick to praise the majority of fans in attendance, though felt that his final against was "spoilt before a dart was even thrown" after drinks were launched across the venue and videos circulated online of fights amongst supporters.

Littler made it back-to-back Premier League wins by following up his maiden victory in Belfast by edging Price 6-3 inside his 'home' arena.

The 17-year-old raced into a 3-0 lead and saw out the victory to a raucous reception in Manchester, going top of the table in the process with another five-point display taking Littler beyond and .

Price, who nailed a nine-darter in his semi-final win over but had it marred by ugly scenes inside the Manchester Arena, admitted his disappointment with how the night ended despite a much-improved performance.

He became just the second player in history after Phil Taylor to hit three Premier League nine-darters. But reflecting on Instagram, Price wrote: "Gutted with tonight's ending, final was spoilt before a dart was even thrown but that's what happens, my game is in a great place. We move on #changeisneeded. Great crowd and amazing atmosphere. Thanks Manchester."

Littler reacted to the crowd earlier in the evening, as he heard boos and jeers during his semi-final with Aspinall. Up against another local favourite, Littler walked to a section of the audience and cupped his ears, before throwing his arms up and then going over to shake his opponent's hand.

The teen held his nerve for another impressive nightly win. However, it was not all smiles for Littler and this time not thanks to a brawl inside the venue as the fan was frustrated to have learned that his team threw away a late lead in a 4-3 defeat to rivals .

"I'm glad I won, I just saw United concede two in two minutes," Littler told Sky Sports. "I am glad to win. I have settled into it. The first 5-6 weeks I won the first game and then lost and lost. But winning last week gave me so much confidence coming to Manchester."
