An unnamed insider told People that Cena got cold feet due to the immense pressure caused by the extravagant publicity of his celebrity nuptials.
The source even claims that the former celebrity couple want to regroup despite the shock breakup.
The insider said: “You’re dealing with a guy who grew up poor, without a dad, and with a history of commitment issues — non-stop wedding publicity and a whole big extravaganza was bound to rattle him, and it did.
“They got away from what made them work, which is the bond that’s just between John and Nicole — not John Cena, WWE superstar, and Nikki Bella of the Bella Twins.

Cena and Bella had been dating for six years and got engaged in 2017 at WresteleMania 33 after beating The Miz and Maryse in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
They were expected to get married on May 5 in Mexico.
Their love life became public on the hit reality series Total Divas and Total Bellas where The Champ insisted that he didn’t want to get married or have children.
