BBC Bargain Hunt fans threaten to switch off following ‘special’ garden episode

Bargain Hunt viewers were left unimpressed when the BBC decided to show a garden-themed episode branding it "boring".

Bargain Hunt: Christina Trevanion introduces gardening special

Bargain Hunt fans slammed the BBC after airing a special agricultural-themed episode. Christina Trevanion, 42, was spotted at the start of the episode in a vegetable patch as she announced there would be a slight twist during Tuesday’s instalment.

Looking chic she donned an outdoorsy look as she wore a red and white floral top and blue jeans, teaming it up with some Wellington boots. She announced that she would be taking "A look back at the best kitchen and garden collectables."

Opening the show she was heard saying: "Hello and welcome to a very special Bargain Hunt. Now you might wonder why I am digging the garden, well today's show is all about Antiques and collectables that you might find in a kitchen or garden."

However, fans jumped to social media to express their views and hit out at the broadcasting network. Slamming the programme some viewers admitted they would be changing the channel as they could not bear to watch it after taking to X, formerly known as Twitter.

One user wrote: "Oh FFS not another special again, that's me I am off." "S**t!!....another cobbled together show.... I'm off. See you tomorrow," added a second.

"Another special. A no from me then," chimed in a third. While a fourth agreed and penned: "Sorry, not even lovely Christina can save a 'special'."

While others picked up on the look-back episode that had merged a string of clips over the years into one.

"I won't be bothering today repeats bad enough but a hashed together special ffs," pointed out an unhappy BBC viewer.

This has come after it was announced Christiana faced some healthy competition in a fight for screen time after the show was given a mini-makeover.

The British Broadcasting Network decided to shake up the popular daytime show and give it a fresh new look with its hosts.

For years the reality game show has seen the likes of Eric Knowles and Charlie Ross who steered the flagship and presented the episodes.

In a bid to pour in some new added excitement bosses decided to bring in new Antiques experts. Roo Irvine, Danny Sebastian and Caroline Hawley are set to host the popular programme.

Her return to the small screen comes after she broke her social media silence and admitted she needed time out.

On Instagram, she wrote: "Apologies for being quiet on here recently, I find gardening a real tonic and it’s been quite a distraction this spring," confirming that she has enjoyed some time out of the spotlight.
