Strictly: Ellie Taylor announced as contestant
Ellie Taylor, 38, has admitted she’s feeling “tired” ahead of her first performance in the 2022 series of Strictly Come Dancing next week. The comedian added while she was feeling like a “broken woman” today, she would be taking good care of herself.
Ellie took to Instagram to share an insight into her life amid busy rehearsal schedules with her 176,000 followers.
Posting a picture with her hand over her face, she wrote: “I’m a broken woman BUT mum’s dropped round a homemade Shepherds pie and crumble so it’s all going to be OK.”
Above the next photo she continued: “(By broken woman I mean I’m a bit tired and I had vodka last night when I should have had camomile tea).
“Not the biggest tale of woe is it, but I like drama (and crumble),” she quipped.

She told the BBC: "Well, cover me in fake tan and roll me in sequins!
“I'm absolutely over the moon to be a part of Strictly 2022!
"I've watched the show for years so to be able to take to the dance floor is a dream come true, for both me and mum who is a Strictly super fan!

At the time, she told ITV host Ranvir Singh: "I’ve known for such a long time.
“I can’t wait to tell all my friends, I’m going to get so many voice notes of squealing women.
"I’ve wanted to do it forever. I’m so chuffed – I can’t wait. I would love to find the joy in dance that people have," she continued.
Describing her ideal dancing partner, she added: "I want someone who’s patient. I need a tall, patient person - so anyone really."
Joining Ellie in the Strictly line-up will be stars like Helen Skelton, Will Mellor and Fleur East.
