Stacey Dooley shares struggle she faced while Kevin Clifton moved into trailer with baby
Stacey Dooley has discussed how "logistically tricky" it was when her partner Kevin Clifton and daughter Minnie moved into a trailer while filming in the US.
Stacey Dooley has revealed how “tricky” working was while breastfeeding her child. The Strictly Come Dancing star has opened up about why she travelled to the United States with Kevin Clifton and Minnie in tow.
37-year-old Stacey and Kevin, 41, welcomed their first daughter Minnie into the world in January 2023. However, soon after the birth, the presenter flew to the US to film the second series of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over U.S.A.
This season, fans witness the star visiting the only legal brothel in the country. She will also stay in the home of the people she’s interviewing for 72 hours at a time, such as an American polygamist.
In a new interview, the mother-of-one has revealed how “logistically” tricky it was to navigate having a newborn child and sleeping away from her. When asked if she took Minnie to the USA, Stacey replied in the affirmative before explaining: “Logistically it was quite tricky”.
She told Metro that Minnie was “still on the boob” and that she had to hire a trailer for her and Kevin to stay in, away from location. “So if I ever got a break, I’d run out and put her on the boob and then run back in.
“Or I could pump and give Kev the milk,” she explained. “It was difficult because I’d never been away from her for an evening so I think her dad had some pretty crazy nights in a trailer.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Stacey admitted that having her daughter has taught her a “deeper level of empathy” and that she finds motherhood to be completely “bonkers”.
While filming in the US, Stacey uploaded a picture of Kevin’s trailer to her 1.1 million Instagram followers and wrote: “I had to hire an entire trailer and drag it across America.
“I just wasn’t ready to be away from Minnie. Kev had to live in here for 3 weeks reading the same tiger book over and over”.

Earlier this month, the personality appeared on The One Show to promote the second season of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA.
While talking to BBC hosts Jermaine Jenas and Lauren Laverne, she revealed the reason why she tries to understand all of her guests.
“Increasingly, I think we have lost that art to hang out with people who we are different with,” she admitted.
