Gogglebox's Stephen and Daniel share fresh family update following divorce announcement

Following the shocking the news that they are getting divorced, Stephen and Daniel Lustig-Webb have taken to social media to share a sweet family update. Stephen, 52, took to Instagram to post a picture for his 277 thousand followers to see following the life-changing announcement.

In the photo, Stephen and Daniel can be seen posing for a selfie with the latter's mum, Ellie, as they celebrated her birthday at Brighton pier over the weekend.

Despite announcing their divorce, the pair are clearly still wanting to continue their friendship, as they enjoyed a day out together. The Channel 4 star captioned it: "Lovely day celebrating @lustigellie birthday," as he also tagged his ex in the caption.

Stephen, who was forced to pull out of the London marathon, told The Sun on Sunday over the weekend that they were parting ways, but that he still wanted to maintain a friendship with Daniel. The pair also work together professionally, as they are business partners in their joint hairdressing venture.

He told the publication: "It's with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we've unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways."

The pair poked fun at their impending divorce with a funny caption on an Instagram reel.

Daniel took to his page to share a video with his 123k followers as he and Stephen larked around on bikes as they posed next to Brighton Pier and along the beach.

He captioned the post: "Riding tandem straight out of this marriage #beryl #bff." Daniel's followers rushed to the comments section to wish the two well as well as to express their sadness about the divorce news.

One person wrote: "So sad to read this... love you two... but wishing you both the happiness you deserve for the future xxx."

Another loyal follower penned: "Sorry to hear you are getting divorced. Best wishes to you both for the future. Hope you can remain friends."

Somebody else said: "I thought it was fake news, wishing you the best. Love you guys," while a fourth added: "So sad to hear. But wishing you both love, happiness and the very best of luck in your next chapter xx."

Stephen, who showed off his weight loss transformation, shot to fame on the very first series of Gogglebox back in 2013, before being joined by Daniel in 2018.

The pair appeared on the Channel 4 show for eight series together before bowing out for good in 2023.
