Amazon announces 1,500 new apprenticeships for 2022

AMAZON is to create 1,500 apprenticeships aimed at giving workers the skills they need for today's jobs market.

The online retail giant said recruitment has started for more than 40 of the schemes.

Some are for would-be engineers and health, safety, and environment technicians. But 13 are new and will teach skills in areas such as marketing.

Amazon said it created 25,000 jobs last year, taking its total number of UK staff to 70,000. It added more than half came directly from education or were previously unemployed.
