Get Brexit done! More than 50% of Tory Brexit voters AGAINST Article 50 extensions
TORY Brexit voters want the UK to leave the European Union as quickly as possible with more than half of strongly opposed to an extension of Article 50, according to a new poll.
The Politico-Hanbury poll, which was conducted between February 22 and 25, reveals Tory voters who backed Brexit in the referendum are strongly against an Article 50 extension with 51 percent against and 33 just percent in favour. UK voters have said they want any extension to the Article 50 March 29 deadline to be short and only a one month delay would be “acceptable”. According to the poll of 2,006 adults, 47 per cent of the public say a one month extension would be acceptable, compared with 32 per cent who say it would not.
This figure falls to 42 per cent for a three-month extension, compared with 40 per cent who are opposed.
Britons also only want an Article 50 delay to continue with Brexit negotiations and ratify the exit deal.
Almost three-quarters of people, 74 percent, said they find it unacceptable to extend Article 50 in order to hold a second referendum or a general election.

The Prime Minister has said any extension of Article 50 must finish by the end of June so the UK would not have to take part in the European Parliament’s elections.
Mrs May has pledged to bring her deal back for another attempt at being passed in the House of Commons by March 12.
If it is rejected, MPs will be able to vote on a possible extension to the Article 50 negotiating period by March 14.
Any Article 50 extension would need the support of the other member states of the EU.
European Council President Donald Tusk has said a delay to the Article 50 deadline would be a “rationale solution” to the rejection of Mrs May’s Brexit deal.
