PRINCESS DIANA's former vocal coach and friend has said that she prepared her two sons for "different destinies".

Stewart Pearce, the Princess of Wales' former voice coach, told the Daily Star that Diana prepared Prince Harry and Prince William for their different royal roles by raising them to be "free-thinkers". The late Princess of Wales tragically died in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997.



Now, 24 years later, Diana's voice coach revealed the Princess's parenting technique.

He told the Daily Star: “[It] is always about the choices that are made, that the children made, that the boys made.

“[They] were either endorsed or they were judiciously advised.

“So in other words, she engendered two young men into being immensely independent and free-thinking, who could always make sense and feel substantiated in their choice unless it was an unworthy choice.

“And then, she would say ‘is that the highest choice?’ She would never chastise.”

Mr Pearce, 68, was Diana's vocal coach and close friend from 1995 until her untimely death.

He helped the princess master public speaking and expression.

The 68-year-old went on to say that the royal mother treated the two brothers' different roles with care.

“She just prepared them for these two different destinies,” he told the Daily Star.

In a recent report, Mr Pearce revealed that the princess made plans to move to the States with William and Harry and aspired to make movies.

“This was the future of Diana,” Stewart Pearce told the Daily Mail.

“She was talking about buying a house in Malibu overlooking the Pacific.”

The royal vocal coach discusses Diana's relationship with her sons in his new book Diana: The Voice of Change.
