A new video has emerged of the escaped horses from the Household Cavalry smashing into parked e-bikes.

Five horses escaped after becoming spooked on Buckingham Palace Road by the noise of builders during a routine exercise on Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall yesterday morning.

Videos taken by eyewitnesses show horses running along London’s roads without riders. One of them, a white horse, appeared to be covered in blood, with a red liquid spread across much of its chest and legs.

An Army spokesman said the group included six soldiers and seven horses. Four soldiers were thrown from their saddles, and five horses ran loose through London.

They were spotted near Buckingham Palace and Victoria Train Station, along the Strand 1.3 miles away, past Tower Bridge, and as far as Limehouse Link over five miles away.

The latest video to surface shows a white horse, thought to be named Vida, barrelling down a road before crashing into parked e-bikes. It is believed that this is what caused the blood-covered horse’s injuries.

Five people (including three soldiers riding the horses) were injured in the escape and the subsequent rampage that lasted two hours and covered six miles of the capital.

Two horses, Vida and Quaker, are believed to be “seriously injured” with army bosses claiming it is “too early to know” if they will ever return to active duty. Leading equine charity, The Horse Trust, has offered to rescue them if they are unable to return to military duty.

Vida underwent surgery for injuries consistent with 'serious lacerations' and is now recovering in the Hyde Park Barracks. He is believed to have a history of being spooked and allegedly kicked a soldier in the head during the King's Coronation.

Quaker, a black stallion, was more seriously injured after it is believed he smashed into the side of a silver Mercedes Taxi, leading to a life-saving surgery at an undisclosed equine hospital on Wednesday night.

A spokesperson for the MOD confirmed that it was a horse named Tenneyson, who collided with a bus, smashing its windscreen. Tennyson and Trojan (another black horse) are expected to make full recoveries
