A 47-second clip of a married Maryland cop kissing another woman before hopping into the back of his squad car has sparked fury on and offline.

The woman captured on camera engaging in an intimate encounter with a married police officer has insisted that she has "done nothing wrong" and claimed the relationship is not a fling but a two-year affair.
Despite the Maryland cop's wife hitting out at his mistress online, the woman, identified as Virginia Pinto, remains unapologetic about their tryst.
A video shared on Monday showed Pinto making out with a uniformed Francesco Marlett, 34, outside his police cruiser before both claimed into the back of the car.
In an interview with The New York Post, Ms Pinto revealed that her involvement with the now-suspended Prince George’s County Police officer was not a fleeting affair.
Rather, she claimed that she and Mr Marlett had been romantically involved for two years, emphasising that their connection was more substantial than a mere one-night stand.
Mr Marlett's wife, Paula Marlett, was enraged by the viral footage, which caused and investigation and her husband to be suspended.
In a statement to the Post, she wrote: "Seems like Virginia has a mouthful to give about me when her husband left her dirty ass bc she can’t stop cheating and inserting herself into other ppls business.
“My husband used her for sex bc she was easy … He gave her broken promises so she would give him p—y. She’s easy. I never put our marriage out there bc like all marriages we hit a rough patch . We gt thru everything at the end of the day [sic].”
But Ms Pinto, a proud Army veteran, appeared collected and unfazed as she spoke about it.
She said: “What’s so exciting? He’s a cop. I’m a civilian. We got caught. It sucks, but this will pass.
“I’m living my life. I have children. I’m sure, as you guys know, I have a 15-year-old autistic boy. His father was Caucasian. I guess I have a thing for Caucasians.
“In my head, I’ve done nothing wrong. I’m going to continue living my life, doing what I’m doing. In my heart, in his heart, I know that I’ve done nothing. He knows. Paula knows. I’ve done nothing wrong. God is my higher power.”
On Tuesday, the Prince George’s County Police Department acknowledged the existence of the viral video and affirmed their intent to investigate the circumstances surrounding it.
The officer involved was quickly identified as Francesco Marlett, who had previously faced suspension without pay in 2016 in connection with allegations that he had physically assaulted a three-year-old child to the point of unconsciousness, as reported by Fox 5 DC.
He was indicted for second-degree child abuse, accused of physically assaulting his girlfriend's child.
The incident allegedly occurred while Mr Marlett was responsible for watching the child as his girlfriend prepared dinner.
In response to the child wetting the bed, Mr Marlett allegedly subjected him to a severe spanking that led to the child's head striking the wall, resulting in unconsciousness.
