The This Morning host revealed that his partner always drives across Westminster Bridge after filming Loose Women.
He went on to add that her journey home usually happens at the same time that the terror attack took place.
Fortunately, by "some freaky chance", the 57-year-old did not take her usual route home but that did not stop Eamonn from worrying when he could not get in contact with his spouse.
Speaking on This Morning, he told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "Yesterday, I was speaking to my wife Ruth, who had just finished on Loose Women and she said, 'I'm just heading home now.'

I thought, 'Where's Ruth?' I couldn't get in touch with her
"Her normal route home would be within three minutes to this bridge and across there and when the news broke later - because it took 10/15 minutes for the news to come out - I thought, 'Where's Ruth?'"
The 57-year-old presenter continued: "I couldn't get in touch with her. It turned out amazingly she went in a different direction, it was just some freaky chance she went in a different direction."
Today's edition of the ITV show also saw Holly reveal that she saw murdered police officer PC Keith Palmer just hours before his death.
She told her co-host that she noticed the guard on her way back from the studio yesterday afternoon.

Recalling the incident, she said: "I drove past those two guys yesterday. I looked at them because it was heavily raining yesterday afternoon and I thought, 'I wonder if the rain goes down into their jackets?'
"When I released it was one of them [who was murdered] that I'd looked at, it was really real. It felt so human."
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
