Why Man Utd are set to lose out to Man City in transfer race for Harry Maguire
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to lose the race for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, because Pep Guardiola has a centre-back deficit at Manchester City, it’s been claimed.
“I don’t see the need for Leicester to sell him,” said Ornstein.
“Manchester United, who seem to be the club that’s pushing the hardest for him, will have to pay an astronomical fee if they want to get him.”
Stone added: “United might be the club who’s pushing the hardest, but I think City are the ones that are more likely to get him.
“I think Pep Guardiola feels as though he’s got a deficiency.

“I don’t think Maguire is the kind of player who is going to agitate in the way of others, to try and get a move.
“So this is going to be down to negotiation. It’s more likely that he’s going to go, but it’s going to take a bit of negotiation.”
Leicester have reportedly slapped a £100m price tag on Maguire, which stunned United.
They valued the England international at £60m, and dropped out of the running for his signature.
