Sergej Milinkovic-Savic shows off talent during Lazio training
The Lazio star was named the best midfielder in Serie A last season which has captured the eye of Manchester United chiefs.
Milinkovic-Savic was expected to put himself in the shop window at the 2018 World Cup with Serbia but failed to do so resulting in an extended stay in Rome.
But it now appears United are ready to bring him to Old Trafford should the Italian club be willing to do business.
Ed Woodward is expected to submit a first offer of £72million.
Milinkovic-Savic would like to go but he will not force a move and would be happy to remain at Lazio for another season if need be.
Manchester United have also renewed their interest in Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.

Milinkovic-Savic has thrived under Simone Inzaghi and enjoys being one of the star players at the club.
He scored the opener in the Coppa-Italia final against Atalanta last season, winning the match 2-0 to etch Lazio’s name on the trophy.
Juventus have also been in contact about the midfielder, but they were priced out of a move as they look to fund a deal for Matthijs de Ligt.
United are looking to sign two midfielders this summer to replace Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera.
