Man United: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praises Pogba and McTominay
Manchester United boss Solskjaer could yet lose Pogba to Real Madrid, with the La Liga giants hellbent on signing the France international.
A damaging pre-season tour for Los Blancos has made clear the importance of fresh legs in midfield, with veterans Toni Kroos and Luka Modric appearing to be past their prime.
Manchester United, for their part, have insisted Pogba’s not for sale. Solskjaer also confirmed the France international could yet be made club captain, despite flirting with a move away in June.
Privately, though, a bid of £150million will be enough to start negotiations and hasten any potential transfer.

Meanwhile, former Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari believes Pogba’s potential move to the Bernabeu may see big-name stars have to settle for a place on the bench.
“What I can see is if Pogba or someone of his talent or his name comes to Real Madrid, there is going to be true competition in the midfield,” he said.
