Man Utd fans sing about the Glazer ownership of club
Manchester United owner Joel Glazer has a picture of George Best on the wall of his Washington office, The Athletic say. The American and the rest of the Glazer family have come in for criticism amid the club’s failure to get anywhere near winning the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement. But they’re determined to see the club scale the heights of old and believe that, in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they have the right man for the job.

“That’s why it all takes so long to sign players or offer new contracts.
“It’s no coincidence numerous players have got down to the final year of their deals.
“It goes from Matt to Ed to Joel to Ed to Matt. It’s excruciating. And in that time, Liverpool have signed a player.”
Many United supporters have accused the Glazers of not caring enough about the on pitch success, and of using the club as a cash cow to line their own pockets.
But they will no doubt point to the huge amounts of money they’ve given the club’s managers in the years since Ferguson’s retirement.
Moyes spent just 10 months at the club but received nearly £70million in money, funds that were used on Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata.
Louis van Gaal was heavily backed with the Red Devils signing Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera and Radamel Falcao (loan) during his first summer.
Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderin, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian and Anthony Martial all arrived in the Dutchman’s second term.
Mourinho received similar backing, and was allowed to land the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Fred, Romelu Lukaku and others during his reign.
And the Glazers have backed Solskjaer well to date, signing four players for the Norwegian.
