Juventus were unable to make the most of a weakened Barcelona side on Wednesday night, further highlighting Cristiano Ronaldo's influence in Turin. Barcelona were without both Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti for the Champions League tie against Juventus.

In the league, Juventus have drawn back-to-back games against Crotone and Hellas Verona dropping them down to fifth in Serie A.
But the crown jewel for Juventus remains the Champions League and, despite Ronaldo turning 36 years of age in the New Year, he's going to be key to their hopes in Europe.
Juventus lacked the cutting edge up front to truly challenge Barcelona's makeshift backline.
Ronald Araujo was brought into the starting line-up for Barcelona to play alongside Clement Lenglet but the former was forced off at half-time.
Frankie de Jong then dropped back to fill in at centre-back, presenting a great opportunity for Juventus to take full advantage.
But Andrea Pirlo's side were lacking the flair and magic that Ronaldo often provides to make something happen.
Ousmane Dembele's deflected effort in the first half gave Barcelona the lead.
Alvaro Morata threatened occasionally for Juventus and he had three goals ruled out for offside in unfortunate circumstances.

However, Pirlo will be desperate for Ronaldo to return to action sooner rather than later.
He is asymptomatic and has posted regular updates of himself working out at home to keep up his fitness.
Ronaldo is now likely to make his return for Juventus against Spezia on November 1.
But attention will soon turn to the return fixture against Barcelona on December 8 with Juventus hoping Ronaldo can help them enact revenge in their final group game.
