Caoimhin Kelleher was selected ahead of Adrian once again for the clash with Wolves on Sunday as first choice goalkeeper Alisson continues his comeback from injury. Adrian has played second fiddle to Alisson since arriving at Anfield last summer, but some shaky performances appear to have sealed his fate.
Liverpool have been tipped to get rid of back-up goalkeeper Adrian after Jurgen Klopp’s words about Caoimhin Kelleher.
Youngster Kelleher was picked ahead of Adrian for the 1-0 win over Ajax in Champions League on Wednesday.
The Irish stopper was also picked for clash with Wolves at the weekend as Alisson continues his comeback from injury.
And former England striker Kevin Phillips reckons that Adrian’s time at Anfield is coming to an end after Klopp’s comments about the younger man.

“I do not think the club will activate the one-year extension to be honest,” he told Football Insider.
“The young kid Kelleher has shown that he can step up.
“It is amazing. During the week he conceded seven against Manchester City Under-23s and then the less than a week later he plays for the first team and gets Man of the Match in the Champions League. It just shows you how quickly football can change.

"It is a situation, which I have to say, it was easy to decide for Caoimhin because he just deserves it,” said Klopp. “But it was difficult to decide against Adrian because he did really well for us: a lot of clean sheets, what a season last year, Super Cup final and all these kind of things.
"He did a really good job, but we needed the package of Caoimhin – and he is a top talent anyway, but a really good shot-stopper and a top footballer, so I like that.
