All signs currently point to United waiting a year until signing a new striker, considering their extension of Edinson Cavani's contract and their other targets.
Harry Kane could be available, but the Tottenham star seems to have his mind on Manchester City.
Chelsea are also in the mix for Haaland, but could re-sign Romelu Lukaku instead.
Real Madrid are still interested, but the lure of Kylian Mbappe is still there and he could well be available next year.
With that in mind, getting Barcelona out of the way in the race for Haaland would be the ideal scenario for United.
