Mikel Arteta hails Arsenal fans ahead of north London derby
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called for critics to consider their perspective when discussing the club's current status. The Gunners sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table without European football, but Arteta believes he's spearheading an exciting project.

Arteta has suggested perspective is missing amid criticism of his record as Arsenal manager and holds high hopes over his project's direction.
He told Sky Sports: "We are in a different moment in our history.
"Every club has to go through different patches, and we went through the patch of the last 18 months with a big Covid situation on the back of a lot of instability in the club in the last two or three seasons.
"That's a difficult mix to suddenly turn things around and build something incredible. But I'm a big believer that this had to happen.

The Gunners will leapfrog Tottenham in the Premier League table if they are victorious by two or more goals at the Emirates Stadium.
Defeating their north London rivals to move into the top-half would top off a positive week after reaching the Carabao Cup last 16 in midweek.
With a home clash against Leeds United ahead in the fourth round, Arteta will be confident of moving one step closer to winning his third piece of silverware as Arsenal manager.
The entirety of his focus will currently be on Spurs, though, in the latest test of his side's progression.
