Arsenal: Arteta admits Arsenal could dip back in market after Jurrien Timber injury
Football fans will rightly set today aside as England compete in their first-ever Women's World Cup final. But a number of Premier League sides cannot afford the luxury of time off with less than two weeks until the transfer deadline, so there is still business to be done on a day like today.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has spoken about the need to offload players and trim down his squad. But keeping hold of his trusted starters will be another high priority after an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday.
Liverpool's never-ending hunt for midfielders is showing no sign of slowing down after Wataru Endo made his debut in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth yesterday. With the Reds' weekend match out of the way early, Jurgen Klopp and co will have plenty of time to get their affairs in order.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United also have business left to conduct before September 1, with the summer window now coming to a head.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has Marc Guehi and Edmond Tapsoba on his centre-back shortlist, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Harry Maguire's stalled move to West Ham could scupper United's hopes of signing a new defender this summer, but there is still well over a week remaining in the window.
Crystal Palace star Guehi is reported to have admirers at a range of top clubs, including Tottenham, although nobody has bitten at his £50m price tag. £39m-rated Tapsoba, meanwhile, was believed to be of interest to Spurs before Ange Postecoglou's swoop for Micky van de Ven.
Although the defensive duo are both thought to feature in Ten Hag's thinking, Benjamin Pavard and Jean-Clair Todibo are still believed to be at the top of his wish list.

Chelsea have offloaded winger Hakim Ziyech after he joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
The Blues are set to take a painful financial hit on the 30-year-old, who signed in a £33million deal from Ajax back in 2020.
The Turkish giants are paying a £3m loan fee and a further £2.5m to make it permanent at the end of the season.
Ziyech was heavily linked with a Chelsea exit back in January and it was made clear early this campaign that he would not form part of Mauricio Pochettino's first-team plans.
Arsenal sporting director Edu could oversee a £30million sale before the end of the summer.
Nottingham Forest are reportedly ramping up their attempts to prise Nuno Tavares away from the Emirates Stadium, and the Tricky Trees are said to have the edge over two rival suitors.
According to The Mirror, Forest are accelerating transfer talks, with Steve Cooper's side willing to slap £30m on the table.
Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg are both interested in bringing Tavares to the Bundesliga, although the player would reportedly prefer to remain in the Premier League.
