The Ibrox side’s pre-season tour of Germany has been cancelled, while Southampton have replaced them in their tournament and French club Le Havre have pulled out of a friendly.
In contrast, Celtic head for Germany next week to play Augsburg, Stuttgart Kickers and FR Aalen before heading to Amsterdam and a clash with Ajax.
Last night the Parkhead club announced a match against Inter on July 28 – a repeat of the 1967 European Cup Final – to kick off their 125th anniversary celebrations.
