Kevin De Bruyne is being frozen out by Jose Mourinho at Chelsea [PA]
De Bruyne was left at home for Chelsea's trip to Steaua Bucharest by manager Jose Mourinho, with his side winning 4-0 despite the winger's absence.
The Special One walked out of his pre–match press conference in a huff after becoming irritated with questions about De Bruyne.
Express Sport understands that the Belgian international is ready to quit Chelsea in January, and could be set for a return to Germany with Bremen.

Bremen general manager Thomas Eichin told Germany newspaper Bild: "Should Kevin be unhappy, we are an eager first contact.
"I am in contact with his agent and am informed about Kevin's situation at Chelsea."
De Bruyne scored 10 goals in 32 Bundesliga games for Bremen last season.
"I know Kevin, if he doesn't play it is certainly a big problem for him," Eichin added.
"Let's wait and see what happens in the winter. We will be ready, if there is a possibility, to get him."
De Bruyne tweeted a picture last night as he watched Chelsea on TV, having been made to train with the youth players.
