Rumours had been circulating in the British media that the Dutch winger could join his national team boss at Old Trafford next season.
However Robben has distanced himself from any such talk in the most diplomatic of fashions.

He spoke of his relationship with Louis van Gaal: "I have a special bond with him. He is the most important coach in my career.
"[Moving to United] is not an option though. I will stay at Bayern Munich."
The news is unlikely to have bothered many United officials, the likelihood of a transfer was slim at best.
United will instead continue their pursuit of Real Madrid star Angel Di Maria and Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal.
