Ronny Deila says Celtic show no fear when chasing an historic treble
The Hoops boss has dismissed talk that his players will struggle to hold their nerve in the final months of the season as the finishing lines in the league and both cups come closer.
Deila reckons the attitude of his team is spot on and the only clubs who should be playing with nerves in Scotland are those fighting to dodge the drop.
Ahead of tomorrow’s Scottish Cup quarter-final showdown against Dundee United, Deila said: “There is nothing to fear. We are not talking relegation. That’s pressure. We’ve everything to win and we are really looking forward to it.”
Deila reckons his players will bounce back from the defeat to St Johnstone with a cup win at Tannadice.
His side were second best in jousts against Saints players on Wednesday, but, according to Deila, they will have energy boosted and be ready to snap into tackles by tomorrow afternoon.
He added: “It is not the second and the third and the fourth game that is hard when you play so many games, but it is when you come to sixth and seventh after each other, and also only having three days instead of four between games. It is a big difference because you cannot get 100 per cent rested.
“Now we have four days between games and also it is not 12pm but 3.30pm.”
Kris Commons and Adam Matthews should return, but Emilio Izaguirre and John Guidetti are big doubts.
