Chelsea target Tiemoue Bakayoko worth £35m shows off talent
Chelsea and Monaco are believed to have reached an agreement for the France international in the region of £40million.
French outlet RMC Sportclaimed this week the deal is done and once the necessary checks are finalised he will pen a five-year deal.
"Having lost out on Lukaku, now there's stories in England that they may lose out on Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco," Marcotti said.
"He's been a long-standing target who they were in advanced talks with. The suggestion is that Manchester United might be getting involved in that deal.
"I'm not sure about this, United certainly took a long hard look at Bakayoko before, they seem to be going in different directions.
"I think Chelsea still feel relatively confident that they are in a very good place with Bakayoko and they can get this wrapped up soon."
