But Gray doubts whether United would want to sell to a direct rival in Chelsea.
“He’s 36 years old, he’s had a long-term injury, he’s not really going to be a regular in Manchester United’s starting XI,” Gray said.
“I think when you come to the end of your career, which obviously Zlatan is at the age of 36, I don’t know how long he is going to go on for, but doesn’t that sound like the perfect move?
“Exactly what Chelsea need but his name has not come up.
