Chelsea 'have an agreement in place to sign Edin Dzeko'
El Gol Digital say that Los Blancos will ‘almost certainly’ go for Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich instead.
Chelsea are likely to be in the market for a new striker when the transfer window reopens as a result of Alvaro Morata’s poor form.
The Spain international has hit just one goal since Boxing Day.
Chelsea are preparing an offer for Dzeko, according to El Gol Digital, despite landing Giroud from Arsenal.

It was reported in January that Chelsea had agreed a double deal with Roma for Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri but only the left-back ended up making the move.
Despite suggestions that it was Dzeko who called it off, Roma chief executive Umberto Gandini claimed they pulled the plug.
“It’s a vital player for us, we are happy to have him with us,” Gandini said.
“We could have sold him, we evaluated everything out in the end, we decided to continue together.
“He is so important for our style of play, even when he doesn’t score. We are so happy for his performances.”

Edin Dzeko has been in fine form for Roma this term
Dzeko has hit 17 goals in 37 appearances for Roma this season.
Meanwhile, the bookies believe Lewandowski is Real Madrid’s most likely signing in the summer.
“They didn’t call Real Madrid the Galacticos for nothing and we’re anticipating a summer spending spree from the Spanish giants this summer,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
“We think Lewandowski is the most likely but Neymar and Salah might be a bit more difficult to negotiate.”
