What time is Novak Djokovic vs Stefanos Tsitsipas? Madrid Open final start time

NOVAK DJOKOVIC takes on Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Madrid Open final today - but what time will the match get underway?

Madrid Open: Novak Djokovic reaches final of competition

Djokovic is the favourite to strengthen his position at the top of the worlds rankings by claiming a third title in Madrid.

The Serbian was at his very best to record a straight-sets victory over Dominic Thiem yesterday.

However, Tsitsipas also enters the final in top form having knocked out the pre-tournament favourite Rafael Nadal.

The Greek ace also has a 100 per cent winning record over Djokovic, albeit they have only one previous meeting.

Nevertheless, Djokovic is wary of taking on the world No 9.

“He’s not an easy opponent to play against,” Djokovic said.

“He's in form and a young player who is already top 10 [in the ATP Rankings].

“Hopefully I can be at my best because that is what is going to be needed to win.”

What time is Novak Djokovic vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

Djokovic and Tsitsipas are due on court at 6.30pm local time in Barcelona - that’s 5.30pm for UK viewers.

However, the pair could be delayed slightly if the doubles final overruns their scheduled three hour slot - albeit that is very unlikely.

Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau take on Diego Schwartman and Dominic Thiem at 3.30pm (2.30pm BST).

Djokovic and Tsitsipas will then take to the court shortly after the trophy presentation.
