Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather 2 claim made by coach

Conor McGregor's striking coach Owen Roddy reckons a rematch between the UFC's lightweight champion and Floyd Mayweather is more than warranted.

“There’s definitely grounds for a rematch, without a doubt,” he told .”

“If we got a longer camp things might have been different. “Not to take anything away from (Floyd). It was great and Floyd won fair and square.

“And the thing is, Conor hasn’t fought professionally in a boxing match. He hadn’t fought (in boxing) prior to that fight.

“With the experience we gained from that fight and a longer camp, it would be exciting to see what would happen the next time.

“But, who knows?”

Chael Sonnen on Georges St-Pierre

Georges St-Pierre will to change weight class

Former middleweight and welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is willing to drop down to 165lbs to land a super-fight with McGregor, according to Chael Sonnen.

“I know that George would do it. He’s made that clear. And I also know contrary to what some fans will say about, ‘Well, what wait class? You can only ask Conor to go up so much.’ George will go down,” Sonnen said during the latest episode of his Beyond The Fight Podcast.

“Now that it has come out that Conor talked to Dana and wanted to do a 165-pound fight, George will go down to 165. I’ll speak for him. I’ll tell you he for sure will.

“I’m not speaking for him; he shared that with me. But I will pass it on to you. He will go to 165 if it means Conor.”

Jimi Manuwa eyeing revenge

Jimi Manuwa has revealed he's eyeing a rematch with Volkan Oezdemir after he faces Jan Blachowicz, who he'll take on in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 127 on Saturday night.

Manuwa, 38, suffered a first-round KO loss to the Switzerland native last July at 214, a defeat which saw him miss out on the opportunity to fight Daniel Cormier for the light-heavyweight title.
