ITV Loose Women star flooded with support as health issue leaves her almost unrecognisable
Loose Women star Charlene White has warned fans about a health issue that has altered her appearance ahead of starring on the ITV show today.
Charlene White has opened up about a health issue that has rendered her almost unrecognisable on social media today. Ahead of appearing on Loose Women this afternoon, the ITV presenter revealed a severe allergic reaction had caused puffiness around her eyes.
Sharing a makeup-free picture of herself with her 117,000 Instagram followers, the 43-year-old journalist went on to thank the show’s makeup professionals for helping her to feel more like herself again.
The star wrote: “Before the ‘ewww what’s wrong with her eyes!!’ messages start flooding my inbox after @loosewomen, I’ve had an allergic reaction to something (and have had for months now) but it’s pretty bad this morning. Could barely open my eyes at 3am.
“But huge thank-you to Loose make-up’s @francescajordan for doing a stellar camouflage job and covering it up,” she continued. “And yes I know putting make-up on won’t help the situation, but it was too late to not come into work.
“Such is life,” she added matter-of-factly, before telling fans: “Anyway, swipe to see what Fran’s magic hands achieved. Very grateful.
“(And yes, I’m booked in with a specialist this week… finally!)” she revealed. (sic)
Charlene, who is probably best known for presenting ITV News programmes, has been a regular Loose Women panellist since 2021.
Her fans and colleagues quickly flocked to the comments section following her brave admission about her health struggles over the last few months.
BBC presenter Katerina Christodoulou commented: “Sending love and hugs to you Charlene.”
