Arsene Wenger: Speculation builds over Real Madrid move
The former Arsenal boss has been without a job since he called time on his 22-year stay with the Gunners - but he hinted last week he is set to return.
“I believe I will start again on 1 January,” Wenger recently told SportBILD.
“I don’t know yet. I am well rested and ready to work again.”
The club are desperately trying to return to the Champions League but results have been far from what investors Elliott Management Corporation are expecting.
Billionaires and Elliott Management Corporation owners Paul and Gordon Singer are said to be disappointed with Gennaro Gattuso, who took over from Vincenzo Montella in November 2017.
He had his contract extended in April this year but the mega-rich double act, who are also Arsenal supporters, now want to bring Wenger on board to move the club forward.
Milan recently appointed Ivan Gazidis, who previously worked closely with Wenger during his time as Arsenal’s chief executive.

France Football indicate talks are “close” to completion, with some sources suggesting a deal is already in place.
Wenger beat Milan in last season’s Europa League with the Gunners.
The Rossoneri are keeping chase in the race for Champions League football.
They currently occupy fourth spot and remain level on 21 points with Lazio - although they are still ten points behind leaders Juventus.
