Liverpool have three-club decision as FIFA block star playing at Anfield this season
Liverpool have a decision to make over one of their midfielders after his loan spell in Germany was cut short, but he won't be playing at Anfield this season.

Fabio Carvalho could be on his way to Championship side Hull City this month after the Liverpool midfielder's loan spell in Germany was cut short. The Reds captured Carvalho from Fulham in January 2022 ahead of the 2022-23 season but after impressing in his early appearances and scoring a late winner against Newcastle United at Anfield, the 21-year-old fell out of favour and was unable to break into Jurgen Klopp's first team.
After Liverpool completely overhauled their midfield last summer - signing Alexis MacAllister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo - Carvalho was allowed to join Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig on loan.
But the move did not turn out as expected, with the former Fulham star playing just 360 minutes in German football across 15 appearances since his move. He did not find that net once and has been allowed to return to Anfield.
Klopp is prepared to send Carvalho back out on loan to another club for the second half of the season and it is Liam Rosenior's Tigers that are leading the race according to Sky Sports.
Other Championship clubs including Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton are reportedly interested in snapping Carvalho up on loan but it would appear that Hull has something of an advantage.

The club already has another young Liverpool midfielder - Tyler Morton - on loan until the end of the season and the Wirral-born 21-year-old has been excelling in the middle of the Tigers' engine room, having made 20 league appearances and scored twice, helping to keep Hull's promotion aspirations on track.
Morton's regular run in the team is giving confidence to Liverpool that Carvalho will also get the quality game time that he needs but was denied at Leipzig.
But whilst the club attempts to sort out the former Portuguese youth international's immediate future that prospect of him being reintegrated into the Reds' first-team squad this month can be dismissed.

Carvalho only managed three starts for Leipzig with the rest of his appearances coming off the bench. But if he plays a single minute for Liverpool this month then a loan move to Hull or anywhere else is no longer possible.
That's because FIFA rules prevent a player from playing for three different clubs during the course of a single season.
FIFA regulations state: “Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs.”
