Liverpool are reportedly expecting Mohamed Salah to remain at Anfield this summer as he prepares to enter the final year of his contract. And the Egypt international has given the Merseyside giants no indication that he wants to leave the club.
The news comes after Salah was involved in a heated exchange with manager Jurgen Klopp at the side of the pitch on Saturday as the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham.
Salah has been a star player for Liverpool since joining the club from Roma for £34million in 2017. The winger has bagged an incredible 210 goals and 88 assists in 346 appearances for the Reds and has helped his team win the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Salah’s future has been up in the air in recent weeks, with the Liverpool side in danger of being broken up at the end of the campaign as Klopp prepares to depart the club after nearly nine years as boss. Last summer, Salah was the subject of a £150million bid from Al-Ittihad, with the Saudi Arabian giants expected to come back in for him in the coming months.
But, according to The Athletic, Liverpool are planning for life with Salah for at least another season and his contract will also be addressed in due course. And the view in Saudi Arabia is that Salah won’t be heading for the Anfield exit in the summer.

Salah has enjoyed a fine season in a Liverpool shirt and has racked up 24 goals and 13 assists in all competitions. But he has suffered a barren spell in recent weeks and was left out of Klopp’s starting line-up for the Reds’ must-win clash with West Ham in the capital.
The former Chelsea player was introduced to the action with just over 10 minutes remaining, but not before he and Klopp were seen arguing on the touchline. Salah was unable to play the role of hero at the London Stadium as West Ham shut up shop to secure a point. And the result leaves Liverpool five points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal and four points adrift of second-place Manchester City.

Salah refused to talk to the media in the aftermath of the result at the London Stadium but was heard telling reporters in the mixed zone “there is going to be fire today if I speak,” as he discussed his spat with Klopp.
And the Liverpool boss had his say on the matter as he told TNT Sports: “No [I can't say what was said], but we spoke about it already in the dressing room. That's done.”
