Emmerdale: Moira calls ambulance as Mackenzie stabbed by Charity
Charity Dingle's (played by Emma Atkins) exit could be coming soon on Emmerdale after she stabbed Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) with a knife in a moment of panic.
Charity has been suffering from PTSD ever since killing Harry Harris (Robert Beck) at Christmas.
She's not been opening up to anyone on the ITV soap and is clearly traumatised, often having flashbacks of the moment she shot the thug in an act of self-preservation.
Last week, she accidentally stabbed her partner Mackenzie in their own home and was left in disbelief over the violent act.
His sister Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) called by their house and instantly called for an ambulance when she saw Mackenzie flying in a pool of blood on the floor.
Opening up about the horrific scene, Charity actress Emma told Express.co.uk and other media: "She's not herself, she's not behaving in a way that somebody who's had a full night's sleep every single night.
"Deprivation causes all sorts of alarming things to take place in one psyche.
"So once I'd spoken to a psychologist, I thought, oh my goodness, this actually this sort of thing can happen.
"So yeah, I thought, wow, well I've got to commit and make it as interesting and believable and authentic as possible and have Lawrence opposite and he's brilliant."

Hinting at Charity's exit from the soap, Emma explained her character and Mackenzie "go in very opposite directions".
Emma added: "She wants to be charged with attempted, you know, not murder because she knows it wasn't intentional.
"She wants to be charged with accidental stabbing because she just feels she's not in control."
Charity later tells Mackenzie to look after the children as she "just doesn't feel responsible enough" to look after them.
She shared:" She's frightened of what she might do. So she kind of isolates herself and ostracizes herself from the kids and Mackenzie and the wider family."
The actress revealed Charity eventually runs away, but will she return to the Yorkshire Dales?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
