Leftover pizza can become chewy and lose its crispiness when reheated, especially when using a microwave to do so.

That’s why a chef has taken to TikTok to spread the word about his easy reheating method that will completely transform the way you enjoy reheated pizza.

Chef Dom Melier asserts that reheating pizza slices in a frying pan is the key to achieving optimal taste and texture, emphasising that it's the "only way" to get this result.

Sharing his advice on his page @dommelier, he instructed: "Take your slice, get your big pan that has a lid... put this heat up.

"Microwave is bad because it's going to make the pizza chewy, the oven's bad because everything's going to be kind of too crispy.

“You want the gooey top and the crispy bottom still,” the content creator concluded.

When the pan reaches a sizzling temperature, Dom suggests placing one slice in, without the need for any oil or butter.

Let it cook for about 30 seconds to a minute before adding a small splash of water into the pan as well.

"Pour it on the side," he clarified. "Then you're going to put the top [lid of the pan] on and you're going to let this all steam up."

Leaving it for another three or four minutes should result in the pizza's cheese becoming more gooey, giving it a fresh-out-of-the-oven texture.

"Not as fast as the microwave obviously," Dom remarked, but added: "Definitely faster than the oven, but this is actually the best way to reheat pizza.

“Or, you can just eat it cold, because that's good too - I love cold pizza!"

People in the comments were happy to give the tip a try, with some suggesting air fryers can work similarly well when reheating slices.

"My Pampered Chef Air Fryer on reheat for 5 mins is the best way but I'll have to try your pan method to know for sure," one user wrote.
